Songs at Mirror Lake Series to host American Rock Night

LAKE PLACID – The Pines Inn Songs at Mirror Lake Music Series presented by Adirondack “By Owner” has announced the fourth performance in the seven week series, scheduled for Tuesday, July 23, as American Rock Night with Lukas Nelson & P.O.T.R. The concert will be held at 7 p.m. at Mid’s Park on Main Street, Lake Placid.

These weekly performances, run through Aug.13, and feature local and regional emerging artists in a variety of musical genres and provides valuable exposure to these up and coming acts. The music series is also an opportunity to introduce residents and visitors to a diverse range of musical genres.

For Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, 2011 was a year packed with over 200 high-energy, spirited performances, including such mega-musical events as Farm Aid, Bridge School Benefit, Stagecoach, and Country Throwdown, the chance to spread their unique brand of gritty rock and roll to millions of people via the greatest of the late night shows, Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and the adoption of the name Realers by their growing base of supporters.

Parking for the concert is available at St. Agnes Church, which is a short walk to Mid’s Park. Should there be inclement weather for the performances the rain site is around the corner at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts, 17 Algonquin Drive, Lake Placid.
