On Monday, I sent FOX Sports in regard to regional coverage and why the NEW YORKS METS and NEW YORK YANKEES were not aired in all of New York state. I received an e-mailed verification that my question had been receive.

OK, the Mets took two out of three in the Subway Series — it was nice to win those games against the local rival Yankees, but there’s still a lot of season to go, and the Mets are still not a playoff-bound team.

The Mets are showing fight this year, a trait they were sorely lacking last year. Last week started with the Mets losing two of three against the Cincinnati Reds.

It was a nice run. A 9-1 home stand and a blowout victory against the rival Philadelphia Phillies pushed the Mets into 1st Place in the National League East and had all the baseball analysts talking about the hot New York Mets.
