Where in the world is USA Bobsled & Skeleton?

The USA Bobsled & Skeleton team is competing in the third BMW IBSF World Cup on Jan. 6-8 in Altenberg, Germany.

Racing will begin Jan. 6 with women's bobsled and women's skeleton followed by men's skeleton and two-man bobsled Jan. 7. Four-person bobsled Jan. 8 will conclude the weekend.

On Dec. 16-17, USABS athletes racked up two golds, two silvers and a bronze in Lake Placid. The team has seven medals for the season so far.

Led by Steve Holcomb's two gold medals, the team now heads overseas for the second half of the season. Holcomb is ranked second in the four-man bobsled and fourth in the two-man.

For the women bobsledders, Jamie Greubel Poser -?with a gold and a bronze - is currently tied with Canadian Kallie Humphries for the top overall World Cup ranking. Brittany Reinbolt is fifth and Elana Meyers Taylor is ranked 13th with one silver.

In men's skeleton, Matt Antoine is ranked third with a silver and a bronze.

In women's skeleton, Anne O'Shea is seventh.

USA Bobsled & Skeleton headquarters is located in Lake Placid.
