Thanks for Wing Wars support, helping North Country Life Flight

December 8, 2016
Lake Placid News

To the editor:

In this season of giving thanks, we would like to express our gratitude to all who supported Wing Wars IX. It is an important event and one that helps the community all year long, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting North Country Life Flight's air medical team. WSLP-FM/93.3 is honored to sponsor this annual Tri-Lakes event, along with the support of Yuengling and Saratoga Eagle, Smoke Signals that hosted the event, Bear Essentials and the UPS Store, Lake Placid.

The support of the amazing Tri-Lakes community was unprecedented for this event. We want to thank each of the restaurants that participated and let them know how much we appreciate the time and effort that was put into coming up with creative wing recipes for this year's competition.

Featured at the event were this year's winner Lisa G's, fan favorite Smoke Signals, Top of the Park, Generations Tap & Grill, Dancing Bears Restaurant at High Peaks Resort, Kanu Restaurant at Whiteface Lodge, The Cottage Cafe, Price Chopper, Dack Shack, Red Neck Bistro, Mis Amigos, Blue Line Brewery and the Pickled Pig. Thanks to all who donated and bid on silent auction items.

Most importantly, thank you to all who attended this year's Wing Wars. We hope to see you all at Wing Wars X!
