Cora Clark recounts career as avid volunteer in village she loves

LAKE PLACID - Cora Clark will tell you, she couldn't be more proud to be a Lake Placid native.

The daughter of Janet and Matthew Clark, she grew up part of a family of eight siblings on the Cascade Road across from the ski jumps, and she walked the same village school hallways as a student she walks now as the school's nurse.

Thanks to her many years of volunteer service, she is being honored Thursday, April 28 by the Lake Placid-North Elba National Volunteer Week Committee as its Distinguished Adult Volunteer for 2016.
