A community thank-you

December 31, 2015
Lake Placid News

To the editor:

The Lake Placid Community Beautification Association would like to express our gratitude for all the support we received this year from the entire community, merchants and individuals. We realize it has not been easy, yet you have supported us financially and with constant praise.

We have had a spectacular year with raves from visitors and locals alike.

Cherise Bailey is our new leader and has done an amazing job. Her staff, Paula Politi, Stephanie Quinn, Daniel Phelabaum and Kyle Tisdale worked through a long season producing a masterpiece community. Gregory Suzanne Jr. also helped us early in the season. Our sincere thanks to you all.

Butch Martin and his crew are responsible for placing over 150 trees throughout the community. The Garden Club of Lake Placid and the Beautification Association produced and placed over 100 swags along Main Street. Thanks to all of the volunteers and to Roberta Decker for making all the bows.

We are a unique organization and would cease to exist without the constant support and cooperation from the Town of North Elba and the Village of Lake Placid. Mayor Craig Randall and the village board, Roby Politi and the town board, Butch Martin and the Park District crew, Pete Kroha and the electric department, Brad Hathaway and the Water Dept. / Highway Dept., Larry Straight and the town Highway Dept., ORDA and the clerical staff of all the town & village departments are an invaluable support team. We speak with them constantly. Our sincere thanks to you all. May you all be blessed with a safe and healthy 2016.

Lake Placid Beautification is grateful to our board and everyone who helped in 2015.

We all play an important role in beautifying our community and we look forward to another blooming season in 2016.

Thank you,

Cherise Bailey and crew

Conni Cross, president
