LeRoy L. Beane

LeRoy L. Beane, 67, of Old Military Road, Lake Placid, died Saturday, July 18, 2015, at the Essex Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Elizabethtown.

Mr. Beane was born Jan. 31, 1948, in Lake Placid. He was the son of the late Sidney L. and the late Catherine V. (Conoboy) Beane.

LeRoy was a graduate of Lake Placid High School, Class of 1966, and served in the United States Army. He had worked at various locations in the Lake Placid area as an electrician and carpenter. He had worked for several years at Cascade Electric Co. in Lake Placid. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and he enjoyed the time he spent with his family and his friends, who were also race fans. LeRoy had a green thumb and loved gardening, he also enjoyed putting together puzzles, and he was an accomplished carpenter.

He is survived by three daughters: Suzanne (Damon Sr.) LaBorde of Plattsburgh, Kristin (Tony) Strack of Saranac Lake and Heather Beane of Lake Placid; one son, Kevin Beane of Cary, North Carolina; one sister, Virginia Partridge of Lake Placid; one niece, Angela Stearns and her companion Leanor Estevez; and seven grandchildren, Damon Jr., Adam, Hannah, Ethan, Wyatt, Elliot and Cole.

Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 22 with an American Legion prayer service at 2:45 p.m. at M.B. Clark Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22 at the M.B. Clark Inc. Funeral Home, 2310 Saranac Ave., Lake Placid, with the Rev. John Martin, pastor of the Adirondack Community Church, officiating. Burial will follow in North Elba Cemetery, Lake Placid.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Lake Placid Volunteer Ambulance Service in memory of LeRoy L. Beane. Relatives and friends are invited to light a candle and share a memory or leave online condolences at www.mbclarkfuneralhome.com.
