LPCA hosts Atlantic City Ballet’s ‘Sleeping Beauty’

LAKE PLACID - The Lake Placid Center for the Arts will present the Atlantic City Ballet's production of "Sleeping Beauty" at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9.

This is an evening devoted to Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty," which comes alive with a lavish set and more than 30 dancers.

Founded in 1982 by Phyllis Papa, the Atlantic City Ballet is a company of professional dancers and educational programs designed to fit the needs of a diverse student population in southern New Jersey. At various times in its history, the ACB has been the resident dance company at Atlantic Cape Community College and Richard Stockton College in New Jersey, and the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, Pennsylvania. The company is comprised of a culturally diverse corps of 24 dancers from around the world. They hail from four continents: North America, Asia, Europe and Australia.

Adult tickets cost $15 in advance and $20 at the door. All child tickets cost $10. Tickets are available by calling the LPCA box office at 518-523-2512 or online at www.lakeplacidarts.org.
