LPVAS report for June 2014

More than over 350 runs have been made to date for the Lake Placid Volunteer Ambulance Service.

-About 10 members attended a recent EMS course in Albany.

-Carol Kolar has given a CPR course.

-A paramedic course at the LPVAS station and an EMT course in Wilmington are scheduled for this fall.

-LPVAS officials are pleased to report a recent generous $10,000 donation from Bill and Mildred Kelly as well as a gift from the Lake Placid Rotary Club during their recent meeting in the new meeting room. Both will benefit completion of renovation projects.

-Reminder: AMC's Lake Placid emergency room is closed from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. Please plan accordingly.

-The following LPVAS members recently received awards: John and Mike Marshall (20 years), Meryl Brady (10 years), Aaron Barney (five years) and Rollie Sears (30 years).
