To the editor:
The Lake Placid Elementary School After School Program would like to extend a special thank you to the Rotary Club of Lake Placid for their generous donation toward advertising for our 6th annual Touch-A-Truck fundraiser. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, which helps pay for program costs, field trips, staff and supplies. The fundraiser was a big success, and we appreciate your participation.
The Lake Placid Child Care Committee, which oversees Lake Placid Elementary School's After School Program, is a nonprofit, state-licensed childcare program open to all students in grades K-5 in the Lake Placid School District. Our program offers a safe, creative and nurturing environment for who require after school care. We strive to help students be successful in school, at home, and in the community by offering various recreational and cultural activities to enrich personal interests, promote social, emotional and intellectual growth, while supporting overall health and well being.
We are very grateful that the Rotary Club of Lake Placid recognizes the LPES After School Program as a valuable asset to our community, and has made the effort to help support it. Many thanks again.
