LAKE PLACID - Lake Placid freshman Kamm Cassidy came through with the game-winning hit with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning Sunday to lead the Blue Bombers to a 3-2 Champlain Valley Athletic Conference victory over Northeastern Clinton.
Cassidy's double brought in Noah Mohr, who reached base on an error then stole second base. It was Cassidy's second hit of the game.
Tucker Angelopoulos also recorded a single and a double for the Blue Bombers, who outhit the Cougars 7-5.

Reliever Chris Williams was credited with the win on the mound for Lake Placid. He took over for Ryan Damp in the fifth inning. Williams and Damp combined for nine strikeouts.
Northeastern Clinton scored two runs in the top of the second inning when Joel Herzog connected for a two-RBI single. Lake Placid responded with a run in the bottom half of the inning and tied the game with another in the fourth.
The game was a make-up contest after Friday's game between the two teams was rained out.
Northeastern Clinton 14, Lake Placid 7
CHAMPLAIN - The Northeastern Clinton softball team scored seven runs over the first two innings and went on to beat Lake Placid 14-7.
Gilly McLean hit a double for one of Lake Placid's six hits. NCCS recorded 13 hits in the game.
Katie Matott, Tiana Mangine, Madalyn Tucker and Michaela McDonough each had three hits for the Cougars.
Lake Placid scored five runs over the last two innings, but were unable to threaten the lead any further.
