ALBANY - State Sen. Betty Little has been appointed to the Rules Committee and the Commerce, Economic Development and Small Business Committee in the Senate, in addition to eight committees she is already on.
The Queensbury Republican, who represents northeastern New York including the entire Enterprise coverage area, will continue to serve as chairwoman of the Cultural Affairs, Tourism, Parks and Recreation Committee, and as a member of the following committees: Consumer Protection, Crime Victims, Crime and Correction, Education, Environmental Conservation, Finance and Judiciary.
"With the departures of a couple of senators there was some shuffling and a chance to serve on some new committees," Little said in a press release. "The commerce committee focuses on job creation, and the rules committee sees much of the legislation that makes its way to the Senate floor. Both are good opportunities to add my perspective on behalf of my constituents."
