LAKE PLACID - With the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia less than three months away, the United States Women's National Hockey Team has embarked on its "Bring on the World" tour that landed in Lake Placid this week.
Along with arch-rival Canada, and national teams from Sweden and Finland, the Americans are playing four games in the annual Four Nations Cup Tournament at the Olympic Center's 1980 Herb Brooks Arena. The U.S. has won the annual tourney five times.
The U.S. opened play by blanking Sweden 10-0 on Tuesday, and had Canada on the schedule Wednesday. The Americans, who have won the past two Four Nations Cup tournaments, wrap up opening-round play against Finland starting at 7 p.m.
