Jim McKenna of the Uihlein Foundation presents a $15,000 donation to the Lake Placid Volunteer Ambulance Service, received by Judy Shea and LPVAS President Larry Brockway.

A stand-by service was provided for the Out of the Darkness Walk on Oct. 6.

LPVAS continues to be settling in and put the finishing touches on the new addition. Donations of money, chairs and tables are most welcome for the training room above the garage and kitchen.

The Uihlein Foundation has given $15,000 to LPVAS recently for a carpet in the training-meeting room and for the operating budget. This totals about $90,000 the Uihlein Foundation had given to your ambulance service in the past three years. Thank you to all who support this vital service.
