The Lake Placid and Saranac Lake girls hockey teams had a combined five players named as 2012-13 Section VII all-star selections.
Two seniors were named to the first team, with Lake Placid's Kendra Manning and Sydney Battistoni of Saranac Lake receiving those honors.
Both players captained their squads. Battistoni was a reliable defenseman who originated much of the offense for the Red Storm, and Manning centered the Blue Bombers first forward line. She was a fast skater and always a threat to put the puck in the net.
