To the editor:
We would like to thank all of the members from the Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, Paul Smiths-Gabriels, Bloomingdale, Jay, Upper Jay, Keene, Keene Valley, and Wilmington Fire Departments for the wonderful job they did in containing the fire at the Placid Boatworks building.
Our business is right next door, separated only by a driveway, and we have no damage at all. We commend you for all your service and working under difficult and dangerous conditions.
