Great work at W’ton beach

August 6, 2012
Lake Placid News

To the editor:

The Wilmington Town Beach looks fantastic. We would like to acknowledge Bill Skufca and the many other town employees who are responsible for this delightful transformation.

A new pavilion, new lighting, extended picnic areas, a refurbished playground and uniform Adirondack-style buildings all contribute to a park facility that is inviting and pleasant.

We have watched throughout the year as Wilmington department crews cleaned up and the community recovered from the destruction of the notorious storm Irene. The town beach was left eroded and littered with debris. Today it looks better than we ever recall.

Congratulations to the many employees who have worked hard to showcase one of Wilmington's foremost natural beauties. The town should be proud of the classy man-made design that fits well within this beautiful natural environment.

Thank you to all responsible.

Sincerely,

Alison and Gary Follos

Wilmington
