J. Peter Martin was
honored Friday, July 13 at the Whiteface Club and Resort. Martin, who is in his 35th year as a PGA professional at Whiteface Club, received a citation from the town of North Elba and village of Lake Placid, which announced that Friday, July 13 was J. Peter Martin Day in Lake Placid. Whiteface Club management presented Martin with a plaque dedicating the first hole to the longtime pro. About 200 people attended the dinner Friday, which was the night before the Whiteface Open golf tournament at the club.
