LAKE PLACID - The monthly I Love Local Eats Cooking Series will be hosting its sixth food demonstration next week.
Chef Charlie Levitz of Chair 6 will do a 30- to 45-minute cooking demonstration that will be followed by food tasting and a Q&A session from the audience at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11 at the Thomas Shipman Youth Center on 8 Cummins Road, Lake Placid.
Dessert for the evening will be provided by Cakeplacid. Tea, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages will also be served at the event.
The cost to attend is $15 per person with all funds going to the Shipman Youth Center, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a safe place for young people to mature while simultaneously providing guidance to them. No RSVP is required.
The seventh installment of the cooking series event will be held in August and will feature a chef from Milano North. Dessert will be presented by Cakeplacid.
