LAKE PLACID - The Lake Placid girls track and field team closed out the regular season Tuesday, May 22 with two dual meet victories that locked up the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Division II regular season title.
The Blue Bombers girls came away with a 65-57 win over EKMW and a 92-10 win over Seton Catholic to finish the season with a 4-0 CVAC record.
Nina Armstrong won two individual events - the 3,200 (12:06.2) and 800 (2:38.1) - and was part of the winning 3,200-meter relay team. She was joined by Kendra Manning, Rachael Ashley and Gabby Armstrong in the relay that finished in 11:05.6.

Gabby Armstrong was another three-time winner for the Blue Bombers, winning the 1,500 in 5:45.2 and taking part in the winning 1,600 relay team.
Other Lake Placid winners were Esther Munoz with a 28-7 in the triple jump and Briana Munoz with a 59-10 1/2 throw in the discus.
The Lake Placid boys had to settle for two losses, dropping a 103-21 decision against EKMW and 61-37 against Seton Catholic.
Trevor Knapp won the 100 in 11.8 seconds and Corey Detwiler was a winner in the 1,600 in a time of 5:22.
Lake Placid's season continues Saturday, May 26 with the Section VII meet at the North Elba Show Grounds.
