LAKE PLACID - The new monthly I Love Local Eats Cooking Series will be hosting its fourth food demonstration next week.
On Wednesday, May 9 at 6 p.m. in the Thomas Shipman Youth Center on 8 Cummins Road chef Mike Nicola of Grill 211 will do a 30- to 45-minute cooking demonstration that will be followed by food tasting and a Q&A session from the audience.
Dessert for the evening will be provided by Emma's Lake Placid Creamery. Tea, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages will also be served at the event.
The cost to attend is $15 per person with all funds going to the Thomas Shipman Youth Center, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a safe place for young people to mature while simultaneously providing guidance to them. No RSVP is required.
The next cooking series event will be held on Wednesday, June 13 and will feature Chef Santos Chaparro of Lisa G's, and dessert will be presented by CAKEPLACID
