LAKE PLACID - The new monthly I Love Local Eats Cooking Series will be hosting its third food demonstration next week.
On Wednesday, April 18 at 6 p.m. in the Thomas Shipman Youth Center on 8 Cummins Road chef Chef Richard Brosseau, Alegria Garden Cafe will do a 30- to 45-minute cooking demonstration that will be followed by food tasting and a Q&A session from the audience.
Dessert for the evening will be provided by Cakeplacid. Tea, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages will also be served at the event.

The cost to attend is $15 per person with all funds going to the Thomas Shipman Youth Center, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a safe place for young people to mature while simultaneously providing guidance to them. No RSVP is required.
The date for the May dinner is yet to be announced, but it is slated to feature chef Mike Nicola of Grill 211 with dessert by Emma's Lake Placid Creamery.
