To the editor:
I am writing to support Roby Politi for re-election as supervisor of the town of North Elba.
I worked with Roby for a few years when he was mayor of the village of Lake Placid, and I was the village treasurer. Roby was an excellent leader, personable and effective at all levels, a gentleman, intelligent and perceptive of every facet of governmental affairs. He was very quick to sense a problem, and to take immediate action to solve it.
I have since worked under him in a smaller sense, I as a member of the Board of Assessment Review, with Roby being in his present position as supervisor of the town of North Elba.
He has done an excellent job as supervisor and has also represented North Elba well in Essex County matters.
I cannot urge strongly enough for voters to keep this qualified and effective man in office as the supervisor of the town of North Elba.
I am also writing in support of James Rogers III for justice in the town of North Elba.
I have know Jim for over 50 years, as a member of the Lake Placid village board, a long and faithful member of St. Eustace Church, and as a very good friend.
Jim has the qualities it takes to be a fine town justice. He is fair, honest, intelligent, unbiased, ready to listen and does not “pass judgment” without hearing all sides. I would give Jim Rogers money of my own, uncounted, and know that it was in good hands.
He has served the people of North Elba faithfully in the past, and I know that he will in the future, if re-elected.
Please cast your ballot for James Rogers III as Justice for the Town of North Elba on Nov. 8.
