To the editor:
As summer comes to a close, we’d like to give a loud and public thanks to Brian and Karen Delaney and High Peaks Mountain Adventures for their behind-the-scenes support of the Lake Placid Outing Club’s summer rock climbing program. With their help we served more kids than ever.
It was another banner year for the Club, as we expanded our offerings beyond the trail with mountain biking, kayaking, environmental activism, and a growing list of ways to engage local kids in the outdoor world and create peer groups of like-minded, healthy-living children.
It all happens because we have generous parents willing to offer trips and community-minded businesses like High Peaks standing behind us.
