Caligiore, a Lake Placid native, was one of six individuals selected to play in the tournament, which also includes 19 teams battling for the team title. Saint Lawrence did not qualify for the first time in four years after playing with a short roster throughout the 2010-11 season.
Caligiore had an outstanding sophomore season and will play in her second straight NCAA tournament. She had seven top 10 finishes in eight tournaments in her second year of intercollegiate golf and was 11th in the eighth tournament of the season, which was at Vassar in the first official match of spring competition.
Caligiore won both the St. Lawrence Invitational and ECAC Championship in the fall.
Caligiore takes a stroke average of 79.81 into the NCAA tournament and shot in the 70s in nine of her 16 competitive rounds this season. She shot her collegiate low with a 73 to open the year in the St. Lawrence Invitational and improved her stroke average by almost 2.5 strokes over her rookie season.
St. Lawrence University sophomore qualified as an individual for the NCAA Division III tournament in Florida.
