Come see Peter Pan

April 1, 2011
Lake Placid News
To the editor:

It is my pleasure to invite theater lovers in the Tri-Lakes area and beyond to beat their cabin fever and join Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Wendy, Tiger Lily, the pirates and Lost Boys for an evening in Neverland. The Lake Placid High School Music Theatre will present "Peter Pan" at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts on Thursday through Saturday, March 31 to April 2. Showtimes are 7 each evening. We will also have a special children's matinee on Saturday, April 2 at 11 a.m. Bring the kids, and meet the characters for photos after the show!

We are deeply grateful to have a cast of 50 wonderful young actors who have been supported by another 60 student, faculty, parent and community volunteers and an orchestra of 12 local musicians. We are also thankful for the generosity of our local merchants who have supported our production through advertisement. This has been a wonderful community collaboration, and we deeply appreciate the support.

With flying effects by Foy, this is certain to be an exciting, fun production. We hope to see you there - wait till you see us fly!

Sincerely,

Kimberly Weems
