A thanks from the ambulance squad

February 25, 2011
Lake Placid News
To the editor:

The Lake Placid Volunteer Ambulance Service would like to extend its most sincere thank you to residents and business owners for supporting our first ever Ambulance Benefit Day!

Businesses around Lake Placid agreed to donate a portion of their sales on Thursday, Jan. 27 to help support the Building Renovation Drive. As you have probably heard, our building on Mill Pond Drive needs many new renovations to keep up with the increasing call volume we have seen in the past few years. Without the shops or customers on Jan. 27, this day would not have been a success.

Thank you to the following businesses for agreeing to be a part of this fundraiser:

ORDA, Adirondack Flying Service, Cunningham’s Ski Barn, High Peaks Cyclery, Adirondack Steak and Seafood, Howard Johnson’s, Generations, Downhill Grill, Interlaken Inn, Northwoods Inn, Mr. P’s, Pete’s Steakhouse, The Cottage at Mirror Lake Inn, Taste Bistro at Mirror Lake Inn, Dancing Bears Lounge at High Peaks Resort, Centerplate Cafe at the Olympic Training Center, Darrah Cooper, Lake Placid Christmas Shop, Ruthie’s Run, Gift Shop at the Olympic Center, Central Garage, and the Olympic Ski Jump Complex.

A special thanks to Dell McCasland, The UPS Store, and Jill Cardinale for producing such beautiful fliers and posters to get the word out!

Thank you again, Lake Placid! We truly appreciate your support and look forward to our ground-breaking day!

Sincerely,

Judy Shea
