To the editor:
The Ecumenical Charity Program would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to this very caring and extremely generous community.
As a result of the generosity of individuals, businesses, organizations and schools, our food pantry was able to provide 300 baskets of food with turkeys and all the fixings this Thanksgiving. In addition to monetary and food donations, we saw an outpouring of help this year with more than 75 volunteers giving generously of their time over our two-day preparation and distribution period. And the generosity just continued throughout December!
Or program was inundated with gifts, both large and small, this December, with monetary donations coming in from individuals and groups alike. Boxes and bags of food and supplies to stock our shelves and provide nourishment and basic necessities to those in need have been nothing short of overwhelming.
On behalf of all the volunteers of the Ecumenical Charity Program, I would like to thank this great community for making this holiday season a little brighter for our neighbors in need. I thank you for your generous support and close with a reminder that our mission to serve continues 365 days of the year. So as the decorations are packed away and the holiday lights begin to dim, I would ask that you keep a reminder of our neediest neighbors in your hearts and on your minds.
With sincere gratitude,
