To the editor,
The third annual Holiday Village Stroll was a great success. This year, we saw a significant increase in visitors to our village for this weekend. We are very excited that this event continues to grow, and look forward to it being one of the biggest weekends of the winter season. It is a true statement as to what Lake Placid and the people who live and work here are able to accomplish.
We would like to thank this year’s sponsors; Lake Placid Price Chopper, Adworkshop, Lake Placid Visitors Bureau, Coca Cola, the Lake Placid Business Association and Mike Foote State Farm Insurance. We would also like to extend many thanks to everyone who helped create this event including: The Lake Placid Center for the Arts, Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department, Lake Placid Police Department, Mayor Craig Randall and the Village Board, Lake Placid Electric and Highway Department, Town of North Elba Parks District, Lake Placid Beautification Committee, Lake Placid Skating Club, High Peaks Resort, Golden Arrow, Mirror Lake Inn, The Pines Inn, WSLP Radio, Starbucks, Kiwanis Club of Lake Placid, Rotary Club of Lake Placid, Palace Theatre, Placid Productions, Bev Lalande Skate Rentals, Lake Placid Middle School Chorus, Lake Placid High School Honor Society, Elementary School Art Classes, the many volunteers, businesses and restaurants that participated.
A special thank you to Santa who dedicated many hours and received many Christmas lists! We look forward to next year.
