To the editor:
Even though it is only in its third year, Lake Placid’s Holiday Village Stroll has already become a tradition for many families. This is an occasion that not only brings in more visitors to the businesses of Lake Placid, but also provides a wonderful event for the local families in the area. There are crafts, gingerbread house making, ice skating, holiday movies, caroling & of course a tree lighting with Santa in Mids Park. The best part is that most of these activities are FREE thanks to the ongoing generosity of local businesses & organizations such as the Palace Theatre, ORDA, The Lake Placid Center for the Arts & the Kiwanis Club.
This event is a shining example of the way this community is able to work together to create something amazing & fun for everyone. Everyone is pulling together to make the Holiday Village Stroll the kick off event of the winter season. This year we have a new logo, poster, webpage, Facebook presence and more. We are working hard on PR to establish media coverage on this event.
In order for this event to continue to grow and be successful, all area businesses MUST get involved. We are asking area businesses & restaurants to create something exceptional for that weekend. Get creative. Do something unique that highlights your business & embraces the idea of an entire community getting into the spirit of the holidays. For those who don’t own a business but want to help us grow this event, go to Facebook and “like” the Lake Placid Holiday Village Stroll. Then “suggest this” this to friends. It’s an easy way to let friends know about this great event.

Looking forward to the season,
