SOMERS — Jack Parody, 40-year resident of Somers, died of a heart attack on March 2, 2010.
He was born in Buffalo on April 5, 1939, the son of Evelyn (Wilkins) and Carl C. Parody, and raised in Warsaw and Lake Placid. Jak was educated at Stevens Technical Institute and Newark College of Engineering.
Jack’s charm and wit led him to a long and successful career in sales. He worked for 15 years at Benfield Electric, then as vice president of County Limousine until he started his own company, Tri-County Limousine, with partner Joe Suleiman in 2002.
He was an avid golfer and loved flying small planes, car racing and laughing with friends. His sense of humor, genuine smile and love of life will be missed by all.
He was married nearly 50 years to Eadie (DeRiso) Parody and is survived by his wife; sister Suzanne (Parody) Gross of California; son John Parody of Texas; daughter Jennifer (Parody) Norris; two much adored grandchildren: Daniel and Jessica of California; two nephews; and many cousins who will miss him dearly.
He was predeceased by his parents; uncles: Jack (Rita) Wilkins and Robert (Zaidee) Wilkins; and his aunts: Anne (Ron) MacKenzie and Leah (Charles/Frank) Damp Bombard.
