The Whiteface Region Business & Tourism Center is certainly moving in the right direction.
In 2009 the agency recently adopted a new name, new logo and has enhanced its chamber services to support local businesses. One of the agency’s most gleaming highlights is its new Web site (www.whitefaceregion.com).
At the top of the page is the new logo, an eye-catching image of Whiteface Mountain and the High Peaks along with the catch-phrase: Whiteface Region ... Get Close. The Web site is easy to navigate and very informative, with sections such as What To Do, Getting Here and Weather along with other tidbits that visitors will find useful such as lodging, camping and directions. If there’s something happening in the Whiteface Region, which includes Wilmington, Jay, Au Sable Forks and Lake Placid among others, it should be posted there.
It’s great to see such an outstanding effort geared to enlighten others as to what makes this region so special and the plethora of year-round activities.
With such a professional effort by the staff of the Whiteface tourism agency, it’s great to think that a new wave of visitors will be attracted to the region.
The Tourism Center is always looking for new members, whether it be a business or individual. For more information on membership or how the agency can assist you, call the Whiteface Region Business & Tourism Center at 518-946-2255 or 1-888-944-8332.
