To the editor,


    As the holiday season begins, I urge everyone to take the time to donate blood. So many people, sometimes family, neighbors and friends, are in need of blood or blood products. It is the gift of life, the greatest gift, which only people can give to other people.    I ask every healthy person to donate a unit of blood between now and New Year’s Day.


    A blood drive will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Ausable Forks Ambulance Station. Donors can also donate at the Blood Donor Center in Plattsburgh or call them at 562-7406 for information about blood drives in other areas.


    I urge you to make the choice – to give blood, and do it on a regular basis. You will be amazed at how good you will feel. And you may make it possible for someone to have another birthday or


holiday with their loved ones.
