LAKE PLACID — Mary W. Holley, 89, of Stevens Road, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009 at her home.
She was born in Highland Park, Ill. on Aug. 4, 1920, the daughter of Joseph E. and Pauline Tillotson (Gannon) Washington. She was the widow of the late John C. Holley, who died June 7, 2006.
Mrs. Holley is survived by her son Winthrop Robinson and his wife Antoinette, of Charlotte, N.C.; her daughter Robin Pinkard and her husband Arthur, of Palo Alto, Calif.; one niece Zeline Mathews, of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; stepchildren: John C. and Candace Holley of Wilsonville, Ore., David C. Holley of Tiburon, Calif., Cynthia Holley of Lake Placid and Kimberly J. Holley of Sedona, Ariz.; daughter-in-law Nita Holley of Lake Placid; and three step-grandchildren.
There are no calling hours. Funeral services was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 22 at St. Eustace Episcopal Church on Main Street in Lake Placid. The Rev. Brock Baker officiated.
The family suggests that donations be made to the Tri-Lakes Humane Society, 255 George LaPan Highway, Saranac Lake, NY 12983.
The Clark Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
