Now that the warmer weather is upon us, except for the impending annual April snowstorm (you know it’s coming), more people, including children, will be outside.
Just as motorists are reminded to drive safely when school begins in September, it is equally important to give that same reminder now.
There is already an increase in outdoor activity in the Olympic region. From children playing in their yards to runners and bicyclists along the road, many residents and visitors are getting their cure from cabin fever.
Remember to drive with caution when driving through residential areas — especially when you see signs that indicate there are children in the neighborhood. Be careful when driving past school zones and playgrounds. Be careful as you approach a runner or bicyclist.
The nice weather is here, and everyone should be able to enjoy it safely.
