LAKE PLACID — Barbara R. Lee, 73, of Greenwood St., Lake Placid, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at the Adirondack Medical Center-Uihlein after a brief illness.
Barbara was born in Lake Placid Jan. 31, 1935, the daughter of Joseph and Aileen (Buck) Lee.
She was a graduate of the Lake Placid High School Class of 1954 and had been a housekeeper for several private residences in the Lake Placid area.
She is survived by a brother, Robert E. Lee, and his wife Olga of Auburn, Wash. and a niece, Ethel Hough, of Graham, Wash.
Barbara was predeceased by a sister, Virginia, of Lake Placid and a brother Eugene of Corinth.
There are no calling hours. At Barbara’s request, there will be a graveside service in the North Elba Cemetery in the spring. The time of the service will be announced at a later date.
The Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
