Heartfelt condolences to the Quinn family and the entire Keene and Keene Valley communities on the tragic death of Jeremy Quinn. It was truly a great loss for the community — but it also reinforced the fact that here in the North Country, people really do rally together in times of need.
Jeremy obviously left his mark on his community, volunteered as a firefighter and demonstrated a willingness to help others. Certainly, had he known the extent of concern the community exhibited when he was missing, he’d have been even prouder to be a member of his community.
Thanks to all those who helped in the search and rescue effort and spent endless hours trying to find Jeremy. In a time of darkness, one can find solice in the binding spirit shown in the Quinn tragedy.
They say that time heals all wounds, and as time goes on, let us hold onto the positive in this negative event — the negative of the individual lost, and the positive of community.
