Thanks to those who helped at W’ton Aid Station
To the editor:
The captains of the Wilmington Ironman Aid Station at the Wilmington Fire House wish to thank all of their wonderful volunteers who made us the 2nd best Aid Station in 2008. We could not have won this award without the effort and dedication given by each and every one you. All of you make us so very proud.
The award money will be given to the Wilmington Volunteer Fire & Rescue so they may use it to continue their outstanding service to the community.
Again, we can never say thank you enough to all our dedicated volunteers. We encourage those who have not yet tried volunteering for this cause to join us next year on July 26, 2009 for the 11th USA Lake Placid Ironman Triathlon.
It is a very rewarding and exciting experience. With your help, maybe next year we will be awarded 1st place, but our volunteers will always be number one to us.
