Adirondack-style pentathlon coming to Whiteface

This five-leg adventure race on and around Whiteface Mountain combines cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, running, paddling and biking. It can be done individually or as a team. Cost is $75 for an individual or $50 per leg if you are part of a team.

The Rites of Spring Pentathlon will be much different than what we'll see at the London Olympics this summer. The modern Olympic pentathlon consists of fencing, swimming, show jumping, pistol shooting and cross-country running.
