| | TRIP REPORT: Great day on AlgonquinMarch 10, 2012 - Morgan RyanHad a real nice hike up Algonquin Peak today. It was snowing lightly during much of the ascent, but started to clear as we approached the summit. We took our time at the top, casually lounging in the bright sunshine and light winds. Too bad most of the surrounding mountains were hidden behind heavy dark clouds, but at least it was sunny and warm where we were on Algonquin. Temperature started out in the teens and rose into the low 30s by the end of the trip.

Final push to the peak. Scene on the summit. Dark clouds covered many of the surrounding mountains. We decided to save Boundary and Iroquois for another day.
Of course it cleared right up on the way out.
