September 2, 2011 - Christie Sausa
Almost everyone who has followed figure skating over the years will know of two icons- Oleg and Ludmila Protopopov. They revolutionized skating, bringing new style and grace to the sport.

The 1964 and 1968 Olympic pairs skating gold medalists are being honored this Saturday. "A Tribute to the Protopopovs" skating show, sponsored by the Skating Club of Lake Placid, will take place in the 1980 rink at 7 pm. Skaters of all ages and abilities will be performing.
